Willowbank, Round Two

For our mommy/Calvin date of the week, we returned to Willowbank Wildlife Reserve. This time it was much less busy because it was a weekday and we arrived right when they opened (9:30a).

Here are Calvin’s words about our time there and a few pictures.

“I enjoyed playing on the playground. It was fun to feed the animals. [I also liked] getting to buy this toy stamp with my imaginary money. [I also enjoyed] the nice lady in the cafe giving me a marshmallow for free; I bet she thought I was good boy. [We bought a bag of farm animal food and Calvin fed lots of animals]; the sheep bited me [it didn’t]. It really hurt. The cow’s nose was wet and left snot on my hands. We had to wash our hands before we had a snack.

I liked the kiwi. It’s funny when they run with their butts up in the air. We heard them calling to each other. And today we saw a tuatara–it was camouflaged and I saw it.”
