Today in Christchurch the temperature is 73 degrees. It’s sunny.

It’s also New Zealand Labour Day and just a few days before Halloween. Yesterday at The Warehouse (think Walmart) we saw lots of Christmas paraphernalia as well as one aisle of Halloween gear (Halloween is just not that big here, much to my kids’ disappointment!). We’re still putting together their costumes–hopefully Salvation Army has some surprising and inspiring finds!

The reversed seasons still feels strange, but we’re so thankful for warmer, sunnier, outdoorsy weather that I can’t really complain.

flowers from around our yard! and Char and Cal pause their fairy game for a quick photo. Charlotte: “We live in a MAGICAL GARDEN.”
